"Shepherd us your people
with your staff,
the flock of your inheritance,
that dwells apart in a woodland,
in the midst of Carmel.
Let them feed in Bashan
and Gilead,
as in the days of old"
(Micah 7:14).

Bring us back into your fold,
merciful God and Father,
for you delight in exercising
forgiveness and mercy;
we have gone too far from you
as we have refused to love,
regarding each one as
different instead of as kins;
we have been more concerned 
with physical presence
without giving much attention
to the deeper ties of our
relationships in Jesus your Son;
like Mary his Mother,
let us listen to his words
and obey them always,
give them fulfillment in
our lives of witnessing.
Amen.
